Why go private

A lot of airboat rides near Miami run big boats on a short, set route and a set schedule. A private tour runs on yours. Your captain slows down when there’s a gator on the bank, stops for wading birds and answers your questions along the way. You ride open sawgrass and water in the Everglades and the Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area.

What to expect

  • Ice-filled cooler and bottled water on every boat. Bring your own food and drinks.
  • Alligators, turtles and wading birds, often close to the boat.
  • Tours run Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Closed Sundays.
  • Want to ride as the sun goes down? See the Sunset Airboat Tour.
